On the Second Day of Christmas

Christmas morning and the hours of fun that followed.....

Grace offered to finish the crumbs from Santa's cookies!  She's so kind like that!

Of course, she had to take a turn at being Anna as well!

Making a birthday cake for Baby Jesus!  Yummy!

Nothing says Christmas like swimming in your Santa hat!!!

To quote Grace.....  " I like icing!"

More Frozen!  Oh My!

Grace decided Jesus needed 3 candles, lol

On the First Day of Christmas

Well, not truly the first day of Christmas, but Christmas eve.  We went to Mass then visited with Grandma and Grandpa, Aunt Lynda and family.  Before we left for church, of course Grace had to set out cookies for Santa!!!

Feeling Loved

Is there anything more lovely than your daughter falling asleep in front of the Christmas tree with her hand on your cheek?
Just saying....  :)

Merry Christmas!

It's a mild and green Christmas, but blessed just the same!

Merry Christmas everyone!

Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree! 2014

Cutting down the Christmas tree with Grandpa a couple of weekends ago.  Grace had a great time helping Grandpa like usual.

Here it is, the final product!  A bit Charlie Brownish this year, as it fell down twice and Grace did not have the patience to relight/redecorate it yet again.  Did I say Grace? Truth be told it was me!  But Grace loves it, especially our new ornament that is the Holy Family and plays Silent Night, it's beautiful!

Here Comes Santa Claus, Here Comes Santa Claus!

Still catching up on posts!
Grace and I went to Santa Clause parade #2 this weekend past.  We went to the first parade at night a couple of weeks ago but while the lights are nice, night time parades are not meant for very young children.  Very young children are hungry and tired at 6:00 pm and really don't get that much out of a night time parade in my opinion.  So two years in a row we've done the night time thing but this year I also wanted to give Grace the experience of a Saturday morning parade.

So, this past Saturday, we met up with some friends and snuggled up on the side of the road with hundreds of others to wait for Santa!

The beginning was hard for Grace, she sat in the wagon covering her face and ears (she does not like loud noises) asking to go home, but once we got used to things she settled in and had a great time.  And only once did I have to run into the parade to fetch her and bring her back to the curb!!LOL

Here's the night time parade.  Grace's cousin is playing the bag pipes in the Marching band.  Funny enough, the Frozen float was a bigger hit than Santa!

Santa Train 2014

Just realized how behind I was on updating my blog.  My last post was almost a month ago!  I've been busy?  I'll go with that excuse!
So I will try to catch up over the next few days with all of the pre-Christmas fun that Grace and I have been up to.
We spent an evening on the Santa train a couple of weeks ago.  The K-man and Aunt Lynda came with us along with some friends and their kids.  Since it was an evening train ride, we decided to put the kids in their Christmas pjs.  Just like last year, Grace loved the music and wanted to follow them down the aisle!  The difference this year though was that she actually let Santa sit with us.  She didn't love it exactly, but she didn't cry!  I see a glimmer of hope for our visit to the mall in the next couple of weeks!

Grace actually told Santa (while holding onto me in a death grip) that she wanted the Frozen movie for Christmas.

Dancing to the Christmas carolling

One of the singers is a parent from my school.  She got quite a laugh out of Grace who followed the carollers down the aisle.  My girl just cannot get enough of Christmas music!
