If You Can't Beat Em, Join Em!

Well, like the smart people in the world say, " If you can't beatem, joinem!"  That's just what Grace and I did today.  Although I am pining over Spring arriving, it has yet to show up so I decided we might as well make the most of the still copious amounts of snow we have.  We took a drive out to Grandma and Grandpa's house and spent over an hour outside riding in the toboggan, pushing the toboggan, walking and just having fun in the sun (and snow!)  We had a great time and now I wish it would stay around a little longer.....

Happy Spring?

OK.  Seriously, Winter.... you win.
Now, take your ball and go home.

My front yard on the first day of Spring.  Notice the snow falling. Again.

My backyard on the first day of Spring.  Notice the snow falling. Still.
Should mention, I have about a 2 foot picket fence back there in the far corner surrounding my vegetable garden.  Where is it?????
Unbelievable!

A Wee Bit Irish

My Little Leprechaun was up to her usual tricks on Sunday, dressed in her best green t-shirt and goofing off with her cousins.  I think she really thinks she's a wee bit Irish!!!LOL
To quote my cousin Suzanne, "If you're lucky enough to be Irish, you're lucky enough!"

Twins???!!!

Irish for the day!!

Happy Birthday K!!

Cousin Love!

I had the absolute pleasure of having my "soon to be official" niece A. over for the last weekend of March Break.  We had a ton of fun making Easter cake pops, taking Grace for a walk and just hanging out.  Grace loved having a new friend around the house and I got a much enjoyed break while the two girls played.
What's for breakfast girls???

Making cake pops

Yummy!

Anna Olson look out!!!!!!

A. helped me give Grace a bath.  She thought Grace should have every bath toy we own in the tub!!!LOL
There's no room left for Grace!
Finishing touches on the cake pops! YUMMY!

A Beautiful Sound

Today I heard Grace's voice for the first time.  It was so beautiful I cried happy tears.  It wasn't exactly a Norman Rockwell moment, I was changing her diaper, but she babbled and made sounds that actually sounded like words.  And then she continued to do it at my parents' place later on that evening, getting more and more confident with her new talent.  I've heard her squawk, I've heard her cry, her laugh, even her big belly laugh, I've heard her whine and grunt in frustration, I've heard her whisper babbles, but I've never heard her voice.  She has a beautiful little voice and I can't wait till tomorrow to hear it again!

6 Months

6 months ago today my life changed in more ways than I could have imagined.  I had no idea I could be this busy, this tired, this happy.  My girl has filled my days with laughter, joy, and tears.  She has made my life complete and I love her unconditionally.
